As we started working the shallows and mangrove-lined coves, the fish started to show. We had some great action with jigging, bait casting, and surf casting, with both light and heavy tackle. Though we didn't manage to land any big prizes, we still had a blast working the water and trying different techniques. It was just great to be out on the water, enjoying the beautiful scenery and taking in the peaceful surroundings.

Snook were hiding deep back in the mangroves. We found them working the edges of the mangroves using a light colored 3" swim bait. All of the snook were tucked deep back into the roots.
